Located in the northern part of the national park, close to the cemetery of Gaziler Village, this natural wonder seems to be newly discovered through social media. The place pointed out by our directions is a location where you can see Tazı Canyon from a bird's eye view, which has gained fame on social media and is the most photographed location.

The side walls of Tazı Canyon reach a height of 200 to 400 metres. With this feature, it has become a place that attracts the attention of wedding photographers. The canyon, which attracts great interest by trekking groups, travellers and campers, is actually a place that has long been known by the local people. However, it has been discovered by a wider audience thanks to social media. It is located in the historical Eurymedon (Köprüçay) valley, also called the "Valley of Wisdom", and has become an important travel destination after Köprülü Canyon and Selge Ancient City.

In Köprülü Canyon National Park, including Tazı Canyon, mammal species such as wild goat, caracal, lynx, deer, mountain goat, bear, fox, wolf, rabbit, marten and badger live. Tazı Canyon and its surroundings are covered with tree species such as pure cypress, cedar, Taurus fir, larch. Unfortunately, Tazı Canyon is under the threat of environmental pollution. Piles of rubbish have started to form and this situation necessitates the need to warn nature lovers to take their rubbish back during their visits. Tazı Canyon, whose alternative name is Wisdom Valley, is a canyon valley located within the borders of Gaziler village, Beşkonak neighbourhood of Manavgat district of Antalya. Tazı Canyon, located within the boundaries of Köprülü Canyon National Park, was formed by the erosion of the valley by the Köprüçay Stream. It is thought that the formation of the canyon dates back to the ice age. It was formed by carving limestone rocks in non-calcareous areas as a result of the melting of the ice masses by separating from each other and releasing water into the valleys by creating erosion with great energy.

Köprülü Canyon National Park

The starting point of Koprülü Canyon (Bozyaka Mah. Bridge) is 80 km from Antalya city centre. This point is 114 km from Alanya city centre. When you come from Serik or Manavgat side (both directions connect to the same road), the road divides into 2 before reaching Bozyaka Suburb. At this separation, you will be greeted by the "Köprülü Canyon" illuminated sign. If you wish, you can take your first selfie with this sign here. Here, whether you continue on the right or on the left, both roads converge at Olukköprü. You can think of Olukköprü as the last point of the canyon that can be reached by car.

The historical Olukköprü, which is 22 metres long, is a work of antiquity with a height of 35 metres and a width of 2.70 metres (single vehicle can hardly pass) between the two steepest sides of the canyon above Köprüçay. The one-eyed stone arch bridge, which fascinates those who see it with its view and structure, was restored and landscaped by the Highways in 1997. The entrance to the Koprulu Canyon National Park is free of charge.

Koprulu Canyon Rafting

Köprülü Canyon, which impresses visitors with its natural beauty, is Turkey's most popular rafting area. Rafting is a fun and exciting river sport performed in high flowing rivers with boats called rafts. The aim of rafting is to steer the raft (boat) you are in with oars without tipping it over, and to pass through rocks and obstacles in fast flowing water. If you want to do rafting in Köprülü Canyon, you don't need to spend a lot of effort. Both sides of Köprüçay are overflowing with rafting companies. You can enter one of them. You can be sure that marketers will find you during off-peak seasons. Remember that prices are open to negotiation. Some companies provide service and price including transfer. Transfer service generally covers the regions of  Kemer, Antalya, Manavgat, Alanya . Jeep Safari and nature walks are also in great demand in the region.

Altınkaya - Selge Ancient City

Selge ancient city

At Olukköprü there is a turn-off to the ancient city of Selge (Altinkaya Village). Selge is 11 km away from here. This road reaching the ancient city by climbing the mountains has a very special view with special service forests, fairy chimneys, man rocks, devil rocks, interesting landforms and oleanders. The ancient city of Selge, which has life on it, is a village that welcomes its guests very warmly. If you are making this journey in summer, we would like to remind you that the air temperature drops 10 degrees when you climb from Olukköprü to Selge. Selge Ancient City Tour from Side click to join!
